The large-cap indices closed
The large-cap indices closed slightly higher on Thursday, holding onto their recent rebound gains largely due to strength in the mega-cap stocks. The S&P 500 (+0.2%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.4%), and Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.1%) increased between 0.1-0.4% while the Russell 2000 pulled back 1.6%.

There is elevated option volume in several of the companies reporting tonight after the close and tomorrow before the open. Although the activity can't be considered a "crystal ball" for the numbers, it can indicate the tone from an options market perspective which may not be evident in the stock itself. US Mint Sales: 2021 Clad and Silver Proof Sets Best Weekly Sellers
The United States Mint’s latest sales report doesn’t show any significant unexpected results unlike the prior one in which the old, 2019-dated American Liberty Gold Coin more than doubled its sales in one week to end at 24,610. That total is sticking so far, showing no change.No new products from the Mint have been released since June 15 and, as such, its biggest weekly sellers were two of its flagship sets for the year, the clad 2021 Proof Set and the 2021 Silver Proof Set. They were the only two products to log weekly increases above 1,000.
